Come See The Robotics Teams In Action This Friday and Saturday!

This week, the Livonia Warriors and Tyros are competing in a competition at Churchill High School. The Livonia Public Schools robotics program gives students the opportunity to use the technology of the future, giving them the skills they’ll need to be leaders in the most cutting edge industries. These competitions are fast-paced and fun to watch. There is music and even a chance for your little ones to show off their best moves between competitions! Concessions will be offered during the length of the competition and the price is right for admission.....FREE!!!

Two competing alliances will combat unpredictable terrain and weather patterns, making remote robot operation essential to their mission on the planet. With only two minutes and thirty seconds until liftoff, the alliances must gather as many cargo pods as possible and prepare their spaceships for departure before the next sandstorm arrives.

Last year the Tyros team made it to State competition at SVSU and the Warriors team made it all the way to World Championships at Cobo Arena. Both teams have their eyes on making it to Worlds this year!   Here is some video I took from the first competition of the year for the Livonia Warriors and Livonia Tyros......

With the future relying on automation, the economy will need people with experience in programming machines. The kids on the Warriors and Tyros teams are getting the upper hand on obtaining the jobs of tomorrow.

Dwellings by Rudy & Hall is proud to be a sponsor of both teams, and will be present to root them on at all their upcoming competitions! Come join us:
